CollegeTracks is honored to work with incredible high school and postsecondary students from across Montgomery County, as we pursue our mission of building equity and removing barriers. Since our founding in 2003 we have served almost 9,000 high school seniors, and 99% of them have been accepted into a postsecondary pathway. Click below to read more of their stories.
The mission of CollegeTracks is to empower first-generation-to-college students and students from low-income and immigrant households in Montgomery County, Maryland by helping them bridge systemic opportunity gaps with enough support to get to and through postsecondary education and on a career pathway.
A future in which every student who graduates from high school in Montgomery County, Maryland has equitable access to their chosen career pathway.
Because we believe that everyone deserves a pathway to prosperity, regardless of who they are, how much they have, or where they come from, and we know that not every student in Montgomery County is now getting that opportunity. Equitable access to higher education will help us build a stronger, healthier, and more just future for Montgomery County.
THE COLLEGE ACCESS PROGRAM
Our College Access Program begins in high school students’ junior year, and provides them high-quality college admissions and financial aid advising to help them set academic goals and career options, apply to college, get accepted, and secure needed financial support. CollegeTracks also engages parents, advises on the selections and decisions, and provides hands-on help with financial aid and scholarship applications to help students avoid onerous debt.
THE COLLEGE SUCCESS PROGRAM
Our College Success Program pairs college students with a Success Coach who will helps them develop an academic and career plan, enroll, persist, and complete their degree. Our coaches help students manage the academic, financial, personal and social challenges every student faces, and secure ongoing financial aid so they can succeed and thrive.
CollegeTracks students’ enrollment and graduation rates far exceed the average for low-income students nationally and in the MCPS.
