To Our CollegeTracks Community,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of CollegeTracks, I am thrilled to announce the appointment of Linda Youngentob as CollegeTracks' new Chief Executive Officer. Many of you already know Linda as a long-time educator and advocate for underserved youth in Montgomery County.

Linda Youngentob accepting award as 2018 Montgomery County Philanthropist of the Year

Linda's connection to and passion for CollegeTracks runs deep. She served for six years as a CollegeTracks board member and has volunteered with our students at Wheaton High School and Watkins Mill High School. Linda was also involved in the creation of our college success program. Each summer, she speaks at CollegeTracks' workshops for rising college freshman about skills and strategies needed to succeed in college.

Linda's passion for helping underserved youth goes beyond CollegeTracks. In fact, she was recognized as the 2018 Montgomery County Philanthropist of the Year for her "thoughtful leadership, tireless advocacy, and strategic philanthropy which have touched the lives of so many throughout our community." (Video tribute may be found here.)

CollegeTracks will benefit from the strong relationships Linda has with many county stakeholders who are important to our success. That includes our student community, our management team and staff, MCPS leadership, Montgomery College, several partner organizations, and our growing base of donors and major funders.

For the past 13 years, Linda has served as an adjunct faculty member at Montgomery College, designing curriculum and supporting students in their college persistence, financial aid, transfer to 4-year colleges, and career readiness.  In addition to being a professor and advisor to the students in the Macklin Business Institute honors program, she serves on the board of the Montgomery College Foundation, and has co-chaired the Montgomery College Capital Campaign.

Linda has taught at-risk youth as a facilitator for Future Link. She has also been a board member of Identity, a nonprofit that empowers Latino youth to reach their highest potential. She has served on the board of the Tikkun Olam Foundation and as an advisory board member of the Community Foundation of Montgomery County.

Linda's past corporate work experience includes strategic planning, sales, marketing, telecommunications, and information technology at TBS (now Oliver Wyman), American Management Systems, MCI, and AT&T.  She earned her BA in Systems Analysis & Design at Brown University and her MBA at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business and was a member of the Leadership Montgomery class of 1995.

Linda has the full endorsement of CollegeTracks founder and retiring Executive Director, Nancy Leopold.  We all believe Linda is uniquely qualified to advance CollegeTracks toward our long-term vision of equitable college access and college success for every MCPS student in the county.  Our Board is excited to welcome such a qualified and committed leader as our new CEO. So please join me in congratulating and welcoming her to the CollegeTracks team. Linda will start her new position on August 19, 2019.

Thank you in advance for your ongoing support of CollegeTracks, as we continue to change the trajectory of students' lives.

Yours truly,

Kevin Beverly, Board President
