Meet the 2026 Montgomery County Catalysts!
This year’s honorees represent leadership, partnership, and the lasting impact of educational opportunity in Montgomery County.
Linda Youngentob
Linda Youngentob is a dedicated educator, philanthropic leader, and longtime champion of educational equity in Montgomery County. Her career and community service reflect a deep commitment to expanding opportunity for young people and strengthening the communities they call home.
For more than 20 years, Linda has served Montgomery College, where she is currently a faculty member supporting student learning and success. She previously served as Executive Director of CollegeTracks and, for many years, as a member of the CollegeTracks Board of Directors, where she was a dedicated volunteer, funder, and steadfast champion of the organization’s mission.
In addition to her leadership with CollegeTracks, Linda has served on the Board of Directors for the Montgomery County Community Foundation and Identity, Inc., advancing her commitment to education, equity, and community-based philanthropy across the region. Through her leadership, generosity, and advocacy, Linda has helped create pathways to opportunity for thousands of students and families.

Kathia M. Chévez
Kathia M. Chévez is a CollegeTracks alumna whose journey reflects the lasting impact of sustained support and access to opportunity. Her academic and professional path is deeply rooted in Montgomery County and shaped by a commitment to public service and community leadership.
A graduate of Wheaton High School and American University (Class of 2018), Kathia currently serves as Deputy Chief of Staff for Montgomery County Councilmember Natali Fani-González. She previously worked as a United States Senate constituent services representative and as a program officer with Liberty’s Promise, where she supported immigrant youth in navigating educational and leadership pathways.
Kathia’s career reflects a deep commitment to equity, civic engagement, and expanding opportunity for others. As an alumna, she embodies the long-term vision of CollegeTracks’ work, demonstrating how sustained support empowers students not only to graduate, but to lead and give back to their communities.
